2017 In Review
It's not to late to review 2017 right?? It's only January 12th.... Sure!
First and foremost I have to give a huge shoutout and thank you to all my clients from this past year! Without you guys I would just be another crazy person running around with a camera in my hands! You guys are the reason I'm here and I'm so beyond grateful!
2017 brought some amazing opportunities for growth in my creativity and in my business. This was really the first year of my "business". I finally decided to brand myself and create an entity of my own. For the past few years I've worked for other businesses, second shot and booked a lot of individual work but I never considered myself a real "business". Thanks to the encouragement of friends and clients I finally decided this was the year I stopped relying on others to pursue my creative passions. I was fortunate to have referrals and word of mouth work carry me through my first year in Sayulita but now was the time to really ask for what I want and put my name out there. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way!
My favorite highlights from 2017.... too many to count! From working with some rad businesses in Sayulita, getting back into weddings (!), meeting sweet clients from around the world, shooting for a private studio at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, to traveling to my second favorite place- Colorado- to spend time with family and squeeze in a few sessions! It was such a fun year filled with light chasing, rock climbing, kid wrangling, wave dodging and lots of laughs along the way. Most of my clients know... our sessions are an adventure, especially in Sayulita! If you don't finish a little sandy and wet, I didn't do my job!
Words can't express how excited I am for 2018. I am so grateful to be part a creative community. From my clients, to my friends, to other photographers I've never even met, I am constantly inspired. I hope that 2018 brings me opportunities, clients and inspiration I haven't even dreamed of yet!
