One day I got an email from Heidi's sister telling me that she was getting married soon at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. They had done all the planning last minute and were hopeful that I would have a day open the week they had planned to be in the area. Luckily I did and so started a quick count down just one month until their wedding!
Heidi & Michael came from Denver, CO (CO people are my people!) with a small group of friends to celebrate their love and elope at sunset. They had the pleasure of borrowing a gorgeous villa at the Four Seasons from Heidi's boss- it was spectacular- and I great place to host their friends for the week. The day of their elopement their friends all hung out and shared in the experience.
While most of my work is in Sayulita, I'm always up for something different and I just loved getting the opportunity to shoot a wedding at the Four Seasons Punta Mita. The couple chose the famous "rock" on the FS property and has a beautiful, intimate ceremony. I was able to steal the couple away for a few minutes (literally! We were racing against the sunset) for photos of just the two of them in the stunning golden hour light offered in Punta Mita. The procession, consisting only of the bride, Heidi started just as the sun started to go down as we were perched out on a rock over looking the Pacific Ocean. Heidi & Michael wrote their own vows and a close friend officiated the ceremony. Just after being pronounced husband and wife, the group friends had an impromptu dance party on the rock as the last light fell and then headed off to dinner to celebrate the new couple.
