Quynh & Jordan: Destination Engagement Session

A cold winter morning didn’t stop these two from rocking their Destination Engagement Session! Quynh and Jordan decided to get married in Jamaica in 2021 after months of trying to decide on the perfect spot for their wedding. But, since 2021 was quite a ways away, we decided it would be best to do their Engagement photos in their home of Austin, Texas.

Funny enough, neither of the two are from Austin. The couple recently moved to Texas for work and this is where they got engaged. Since I have family in Texas it was the perfect excuse for a trip to one of my favorite Texas cities- Fredericksburg! Just outside of Austin in the hill country sits the cutest little wine country town called Fredericksburg. Q&J decided it would be best to get outside of Austin a little and find the perfect spot so Quynh suggested the beautiful Pedernales Falls.

It was a cold December morning! Q&J were such good sports trying not to look cold. It made for snuggling up even closer! I loved that Quynh brought a blanket. We used it for a great prop!

After a quick dress change we found a places among the amazing rocks formations! The Falls has such amazing natural shapes and lines. It was a perfect backdrop!

Thank you so much to Quynh & Jordan for inviting me to Austin to photograph their Destination Engagement Session! I love when I get the chance to photograph couples in a place that is meaningful to them. If you’re planning to get married in a destination, like Q&J, consider doing your Engagements at home first. Or if you’re planning to get married at home, maybe a Destination Engagement Session is the perfect way to incorporate your favorite place without having your entire wedding there. Either way, I’m always happy to accommodate my couples and I love when I can meet them in fun places!

Jess Leigh Photographer is based out of Colorado and serves Denver, Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Telluride and most Colorado locations. JLP is available in Mexico every year from November- May in San Miguel de Allende, Playa del Carmen, Punta de Mita, Sayulita and Cabo San Lucas.
