Aspen, Colorado, is a dream destination for couples looking to tie the knot surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. One of my favorite parts of the day was capturing the quiet, intimate moments of the bride, Sarah,  and her friends getting ready. Nestled in the heart of Aspen, the suites at Aspen Meadows Resort offer the perfect space for these cherished pre-wedding moments. The floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with natural light are a a photographer’s dream!

A Morning Full of Emotion and Anticipation

The getting-ready portion of a wedding day is always filled with a mix of emotions—excitement, nerves, and the deep bond between the bride and her loved ones. Sarah and her friends laughed, sipped champagne, and shared heartfelt moments as they prepared for the ceremony. From the delicate details of the wedding dress to the finishing touches of makeup, every moment was a reflection of the love and support surrounding Sarah on her special day. We had so much capturing the ladies just enjoying the moment in candids and film photos taken by some of them as well!

A Special Moment with Her Mom and Sister

As Sarah applied her final touches, her mom and sister helped her step into her dress—a moment filled with excitement and sentiment. Her mother carefully fastened the last button while her sister adjusted the flowing train, both of them taking in just how stunning she looked. The room was filled with quiet admiration and happy tears, a reminder of the deep family bonds that made this day even more special. Capturing these moments between generations is truly one of our favorite part of a wedding day.

Once she was fully dressed, Sarah’s father and brother gathered in the next room, eagerly waiting to see her for the first time. As she stepped in, their expressions said everything—eyes welled with tears and smiles stretched across their faces. It was a beautiful and emotional moment, one that truly captured the love and joy surrounding this couple’s wedding day. Sarah hugging her father was a moment that even we teared up to witness.
