K&R in the Colorado Mountains
Like many couples in 2020, Kelsey & Ray has a beautiful wedding planned. Unfortunately several months before their wedding date, Ray was deployed. He was scheduled to return home on their wedding day. Making a tough decision, K&R decided to postpone their February wedding for summer. Then came covid. We all know how that shook up wedding plans in 2020! K&R were forced with another decision to postpone. In the meantime, Ray was station here in Colorado. Taking the opportunity to be in a beautiful setting, these two decided to celebrate with an intimate Colorado mountain elopement.
Loveland Pass Colorado Elopement
Loveland Pass is one of my favorite spots in Colorado! You just can’t beat the view at 12,000ft! The best part: you can drive right up to it. Loveland Pass offers one of the best views without requiring a hike to get to them. When I suggested this spot to K&R they were thrilled! It was the perfect spot for their fall Colorado elopement!
We planned for a morning in November when the couple would be close by in Breckenridge for the weekend. It might have only been November but at 12,00ft it was a chilly 28 degrees! Kelsey was such a trooper- and stunned- in her gorgeous halter gown. The beautiful morning light started to peak over the mountains as we wandered to take photos. Despite the cold, the Pass provided the perfect spot for this Colorado mountain elopement!
