Late summer is such a beautiful time to get outside for a Colorado Family Session! The Gitto family contacted me while in town visiting and asked if we could capture their sweet growing family. My answer was of course, yes! I don’t often talk about family sessions but I absolutely love working with families. The Gitto’s have a tradition of taking family photos while on vacation and we decided Boulder would be the perfect spot for their Colorado portraits! Kate was expecting their third daughter and was so excited to have the family photographed while she was pregnant.

Chautauqua Park, Boulder

Chautauqua Park is one of my favorite spots in the front range to take clients! It can get busy in the summers and especially on weekends but it’s still worth it! I always like to take clients to a lesser trafficked corner of the park around sunset. This day we got so lucky with the beautiful mix of summer and and fall foliage. The golden hour light made the grasses and hills really stand out.

It was such a joy to meet and photograph this beautiful growing family! I love watching mom and dad enjoy the moment with their girls and each other. Family sessions are such a great way to capture a young family growing and changing. Especially when your children are young, I encourage you to do a family session at least once a year.
